Sorority women are three times as likely to have an internship in school and twice as likely to have a job when they graduate.

Joining Gamma Delta
- Joining a sorority can be an important part of the collegiate experience – it can help you navigate these exciting and sometimes challenging times. Regardless of the campus, Phi Mu provides a place you can call home – a place where you belong and are surrounded by women who help you become your best self. At American University, Formal Recruitment occurs at the beginning of the Spring semester. After going through a three-day mutual selection process, sisters are matched with the sorority that fits them best. We also conduct the Continuous Open Biding process depending on the semester. "When I went trough recruitment in the Spring of 2025 I was worried that I wouldn't find that "perfect fit" everyone was talking about. Even though I was afraid, I trusted the process and ended up in Phi Mu, which has become my home on campus and the place where I have found some of my very best friends. The sisters of Phi Mu Gamma Delta are some of the most welcoming, caring and passionate women I have ever met, they lead with love in all that they do and represent out chapter with grace, I am thankful everyday that I get to be apart of such an incredible organization.
